A Birthday Just In Time.
Kindness begets kindness; openness begets openness. With each day that passes, I begin to experience more and more kindness than usual. This blog may sound sickeningly positive, and in the last week it has been, yet it is only recent that I have felt an unprecedented level of content. As such, when another ETA, Heather, came to Bogor for the weekend going for a belated birthday hike wasn't a hassle like it usually is. I yearn for my bed when I'm away. This time, I packed with the assumption that I would not be back for a couple days - hey, it was her birthday.

Initial plan: summit Mt. Salak.
2nd plan: hike Mt. Salak
3rd plan: hike Mt. Gede
4th plan: hike somewhere close

What eventually happened: We stopped after Puncak and hiked our way through tea fields to a launching point for para-sailing. We went para-sailing - that's me!

It reminded me of what scuba diving would be like if it was done in the air. Para-sailing is mellow where calmness is key just like diving. The wind currents really determine how your time in the air will be. And, when you get back to land, it's super awkward to walk.

It was soon followed by a 3 hour hike through a treacherous mountain-edge path.

Bike2Work.
Heather and I showed up late at the Bike2Work office in Jakarta. We were welcomed openly and I passed out on a table.
