Days Left to Journey: 37
Training Kilometers Cycled: 635 km
Amount Raised: $10 USD
Happy Earth Day!
Today, I commemorate Earth Day by staying in all day and sleeping early. That way I use less fossil fuels with transportation and less electricity by sleeping early.
Teaching.
An unofficial exchange between my boss and myself was my two days off to do the cycle tour last week in exchange for two days during my actual vacation. Today I spent 6 hours reviewing English speaking with the international class. Tomorrow is the big day for the English speaking section of their test. It was a hard day's work, as you can see by the large box of brownies nearly gone. The students discussed smoking, child behavior, dream holidays, etc. I'm crossing my fingers that they all pass! If not, I'm still proud of them and hope they don't get too disheartened.
Meals.
I'm sure you're all (not) wondering what my usual meals consist of. Usually, I eat at the school canteen. When I'm a recluse or concerned I'm not getting enough vegetables and healthy protein, I eat in. Below was my dinner: a raw (village) chicken egg with honey, raw carrots, sauteed veggies with garlic and tempe, all topped with a packet of noodles.
